IO IO

io privacy policy

Effective October 2026

IO is an iMessage app for organizing games. It does not collect, store, or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads.

Where your game lives

When you send a game, its details (title, time, place, price, the names and answers of people who reply, the waitlist, and any no-show fines) travel inside the iMessage itself, encrypted by Apple like any other message. Only people in that conversation can see it. IO's developer never receives a copy.

What stays on your device

IO saves your name, your usual game settings, and the latest copy of games you've opened (including any no-show fines in them), so the card stays up to date. This stays on your iPhone and is deleted when you delete IO.

Calendar

If you tap Add to Calendar, IO asks for permission to add events. It can only add the game; it cannot read your calendar.

Payments

IO does not handle money. Pay buttons open Venmo or Cash App with an amount filled in. Those payments follow Venmo's and Cash App's own privacy policies.

Children

IO is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
